My Approach – Therapist in Colorado Springs, CO
I believe people are the experts on their own experiences and value a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I aim to cultivate trust and safety while supporting you in your journey to better understand yourself and grow toward your goals. My practice weaves together mindfulness, embodiment, and empowerment and is informed by an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed approach. I am deeply committed to non-judgment, autonomy, and compassion. I believe that everyone deserves joy, ease, and connection and it is my honor to help folks find their unique approach to finding their center. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, reading nonfiction, and experimenting with fermentation.
My most commonly used modalities include person-centered therapy, trauma-informed methods, feminist theory, queer theory, somatic awareness, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emotionally focused therapy, attachment theory, internal family systems informed strategies, and strengths-based approaches.
