Hello! I’m Pema.

Pema White, M.Ed, LPC, LAC (she/her)

Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado Springs, CO

There are times in life when the weight of pain, conflict, or uncertainty can feel too heavy to carry alone. Whether you’re struggling with trauma, navigating family challenges, or simply feeling stuck in a difficult season of life, know that there is hope and that you deserve support and healing. I’m especially passionate about supporting families in healing together- helping them navigate conflict, set healthy boundaries, rebuild trust, and strengthen their relationships.

I believe in the power of connection and compassion to create meaningful change. I’m here to walk beside you, to offer a space where your story matters, your strengths are honored, and your path forward becomes clearer. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing, uncover new possibilities, and help you reclaim your sense of balance and well-being.

Healing can be complex, especially when it involves families, trauma, or breaking free from old patterns. But you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help you navigate each step with care, respect, and genuine belief in your capacity to grow and thrive. If you’re ready to take that first step, I’m honored to join you on your journey.

My Approach – Licensed Therapist in Colorado Springs, CO

I believe healing happens in the context of connection, compassion, and hope- not only for individuals, but for entire families. I view each person as unique and separate from the challenges they face, while also honoring the powerful influence of the relationships and systems around them. My approach is integrative, combining evidence-based practices with a strong focus on helping families heal, strengthen their bonds, and navigate life’s challenges together. I strive to help my clients reconnect with their strengths and values, fostering meaningful growth and lasting change.

I use various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Therapy. Whether working with individuals or entire family systems, I aim to create a collaborative, safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

    A Little About Me!

I grew up chasing sunsets on the beaches of Florida, then headed west after college to settle in Arizona and start a family. Eventually, the mountains (and cooler weather) called, and Colorado Springs became home. When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me on a yoga mat, riding my bike, hiking mountain trails with my husband, or planning our next live music adventure.

We’re big fans of road trips in our pop-up camper, especially if they lead to a good hot spring or a quirky rock shop. I’ve got a soft spot for collecting beautiful stones and wandering through local art galleries wherever we go.

I’m a proud mom of two talented young artists and love cheering them on as they find their own creative paths in adulthood. Whether at work or on the road, I try to find meaning in every experience and always look for the good in the people I meet.
